Filament Tape
Filament tape, also known as strapping tape, is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape reinforced with fiberglass filaments. These embedded fibers provide exceptional tensile strength, making the tape highly resistant to breaking or tearing. It is commonly made with a strong polypropylene backing and a high-tack adhesive, allowing it to bond securely to a wide range of surfaces.
Common Uses for Filament Tape
-
Carton Sealing – Provides extra strength for sealing heavy or oversized boxes.
-
Palletizing & Unitizing – Secures cartons or products together on a pallet for safe transport.
-
Bundling Heavy Items – Keeps pipes, rods, or other industrial materials tightly bound.
-
Reinforcing & Strengthening – Adds durability to packages that need extra support.
-
Strapping & Load Containment – An economical alternative to steel or plastic strapping for lighter loads.
-
Industrial & Warehouse Applications – Widely used in shipping, construction, and manufacturing environments.
