Poly Strapping Tools and Accessories

Below we have listed our poly strapping tools; please speak with one of our packaging specialists to ensure you are using the correct tool for your needs.

Manual Poly Strapping Tools

  • Tensioner – Pulls the strap tight around cartons, pallets, or bundles.

  • Sealer (Crimper) – Applies pressure to close metal or plastic seals, locking the strap ends together.

  • Combination Tool – Performs both tensioning and sealing in one device.

  • Cutter – Cuts the strapping to the desired length cleanly and safely.

Pneumatic Poly Strapping Tools

  • Pneumatic Tensioner – Uses compressed air to quickly and consistently tighten poly strapping around loads.

  • Pneumatic Sealer – Air-powered tool that crimps metal seals securely onto strapping.

  • Pneumatic Combination Tool (Friction Weld / Heat Seal) – Tensions, seals (via friction weld or heat), and cuts poly strapping in one tool—no separate seals required.

  • Pneumatic Cutter – Cuts poly strapping quickly and safely after tensioning and sealing.

Poly Strapping Seals

Poly strapping seals are small fasteners used to lock polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET) strapping securely in place after it has been tensioned. They are applied with a strapping sealer or combination tool, which crimps the seal tightly onto the overlapped strap ends to keep loads secure during shipping and storage.

Common Types of Poly Strapping Seals:

  • Open/Snap-On Seals: Easy to place over the strap ends after tensioning; best for quick, light- to medium-duty applications.

  • Closed/Thread-On Seals: The strap must be threaded through the seal before tensioning, providing greater strength and security for heavier loads.

  • Serrated Seals: Designed with ridges inside for extra grip, reducing the chance of slippage—ideal for polyester strapping.

Uses:

  • Securing cartons, pallets, and unitized loads.

  • Bundling products for shipping or storage.

  • Providing additional holding power for heavy-duty or long-distance shipments.

Poly Strapping Dispenser

A poly strapping dispenser is designed to keep polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET) strapping organized, safe, and easy to use.

It holds coils securely in place and allows smooth dispensing, saving time and reducing waste.

Key Benefits:

  • Prevents Tangles & Knots: Keeps strapping neat and ready to use, avoiding downtime.

  • Improves Safety: Reduces the risk of loose strapping springing out unexpectedly.

  • Boosts Efficiency: Makes strapping application faster by dispensing smoothly and consistently.

  • Minimizes Waste: Protects strapping from damage and prevents wasted material.

  • Portable & Convenient: Many dispensers come with wheels or handles for easy mobility.
